Items From 2008 Gatherings: December '08 -- No gathering this month, but I did get together with Mark for some cigars after guitar shopping. ;) November '08 -- No gathering this month. October '08 -- No gathering this month. September '08 -- Late September, I got this from Randy: ".....grilled deer and beef burgers at my house Saturday the 27th. My last grilling before the move to FLA the following week. Come on by if you get a chance, 2-ish or thereabouts. All are welcome." So I passed it along to the group, and then on the 27th I hopped on my motorcycle and headed down to hang out with Randy and crew one last time. I met some extremely nice friends of Randy, and Barry showed up a little later as well. It was cloudy and chilly, but we sat out in the garage and had grilled deer bits and other snacks, and the cigars drinks, and conversation kept us toasty. The sun started to peek through the view out the garage door, as it was time for me to hop back on the bike and head out. Take it easy down in FLA, Randy, and catch you soon... August '08 -- This was a "Randy is moving to Miami" party. He and Carol are moving the first part of October to Miami, FL. Carol has accepted a position at the University of Miami medical center and he is being "forced" to follow her. :) So, on Saturday, August 30th, we had a get together at the marina for burgers, cigars and drinks. Randy said, "This will be our last big weekend for the sailing season and the last in Michigan. The next outdoor festivities will be in south Florida (the Keys?)." Of course we could only hope. I was not there, but I believe that Randy, Bob, and Barry were in attendance this day. July '08 -- No gathering this month. June '08 -- No gathering this month. May '08 -- No gathering this month. April '08 -- Mark proposed a re-re-visit to Bahama Breeze (http://www.bahamabreeze.com/ ), on Wednesday the 30th after work. We got together out on the enclosed porch by the fire, and pretty much had the whole sunroom to ourself. Service was great from Benji (the birthday boy), and we had ate Firecracker shrimp and Mojitos until the there were no more. The cigar smoke seemed to keep other people out of the room as we enjoyed a beautiful view of the sunset... with the fire... with the company of friends. In attendance were: Randy, Jeremy, Ken M., Barry, Mark and Judy, Ron B., Chris B., and Jeff B. Mark took pics, so they will be posted here... someday... ;) March '08 -- No gathering this month. February '08 -- No gathering this month. January '08 -- Copper Canyon. This month, Mark and Jeremy decided to throw in the towel on any elaborate plans. We just got together at the Copper Canyon in Southfield Thursday the 24th, after work... Old reliable... Nothing fancy, as usual... Mark took pics (and got a nice group shot from the waiter) and I got some on my phone, to follow... In attendance: Jeremy P., Ken M., Chris B., Ron B., Barry H., Mark G., Ed M.
