Items From 2007 Gatherings: December '07 -- No December Gathering. November '07 -- We are 5!!! For November, it was the second of two Anniversary celebrations. Ginopolis' On The Grill, Farmington Hills on Friday, November 16th. Again, here are some crappy camera-phone pics: Cigar, Ron, Mark, Judy, Jeremy, Setting 1, Setting 2 October '07 -- Barry's place... Our 5-year anniversiary. A nice, festive, home-style thang. I hosted at Players Billiards Bar & Grill in Farmington Hills (Friday, September the 21st), because I drive past it all the time on my commute, and Bob know the guys there. Well, we're all chummy now, because we had good food, good drinks, good smokes, and good fun. One strange thing is that my brother Joe just happned to have stopped by there after work by total coincidence, so he got to meet some of the gang. This is Ken's first time hanging out with us, and Chris is becoming a regular! Some of the guys got in a few good rounds of pool, and then we started to talk about an anniversary gathering next month or two... more on that later! Officially at this gathering: Jeremy, Joe, Bob, Ken, Barry, Ron, Mark, Judy, and Chris. August '07 -- Barry hosted this month's cigar gathering at Bo's Brewery and Bistro Friday, August 17th. I (Jeremy) showed up early to find Randy already there... I almost got my car towed, since I didn't realize I had parked in a "cruise-only" parade route, right in front of the bar! We planed to grab some seats outside for a view of the cars and stuff, but ended up staying in for most of the evening. By the time Barry and Ron got there, the cars were absolutely insane.. and everywhere... Barry was quite disappointed that Bo's had limited their menu for the cruise, and jacked up the prices on those limited items. Ok, we were all kinda' ticked. Oh well, we ate, drank, smoled, and complained to our good-natured waitress. Eventually the four of us stumbled out for a walk around, for what was the highlight of the evening. What a festival atmosphere! Cars, music, people, food, everywhere. Good fun. I hope to do it again next year.... Officially in attndance this night: Randy, Barry, Jeremy, and Ron. July '07 -- No July gathering. June '07 -- May is/was Ron's month, and due to tight schedules, he was graciously talked into letting the "May" gathering be on June 8th, coincidentally at a place where my (Jeremy) band happened to be playing... The gathering of those who wish to smoke, and/or drink, *and* rock with Paperbag.net was Friday, June 8th, at the Bullfrog in Redford Township. The band list included: Wound, Paperbag, Stitch, Collateral Damage, and Approaching Zero. As always, I had a cigar and martinis after our set. Cigar lovers in attendance this night were Mark, Judy, Ron, and believe it or not, a special appearance by Chris B. Nice to see you again Chris. May '07 -- See June. April '07 -- It had been quite a while since we got together for a cigar gathering. So, it was Mark's month, time to get back to Roosevelt's Billiards Bar & Grill in Farmington on Wednesday the 25th. This month was special because our dear friend Patrick was back in town for a short time, so we wanted to get a gathering in while he was here. As usual, we got great conversation, including interesting stories of world travels and adventures (Brazil can be dangerous!), as well as good food (those chicken fingers with the hint of maple? magic!), drink, and smoke.
